RAPTORS: Lawyer for the plaintiff in a lawsuit to be seen in the U.K. seeks to get it heard in the United States.
A lawyer for the law firm accused of failing to provide her client with adequate evidence has been told the case could be heard by a jury in the country.
In her complaint, Rachel J. Lawrence says the firm did not provide her with sufficient evidence to support the allegations she made in her original lawsuit, and that it failed to properly supervise her during her years at the firm.
She has filed a motion for a jury trial in the District of Columbia.
Lawyers for the defendants say they will defend themselves vigorously against the claims in the complaint.
The case is being heard by the District Court of the United Kingdom.
The judge overseeing the case will hear arguments this week.
