Posted October 04, 2018 04:15:31The Blue Alert law is a new law in Canada that’s aimed at stopping dogs barking at their owners.
The law was introduced in April 2018, and it comes with some serious consequences.
Article Continued BelowThe law says that, if your dog attacks or bites someone, it’s illegal for that person to respond by yelling, growling or screaming.
And that means that, for the first two months after the dog attack, you must remove your dog.
If you fail to do so, your dog can be removed without any consequences.
The law doesn’t require a hearing before it can take effect.
If the owner has no way of proving that they are the aggressor, they’re still allowed to keep their dog.
