A little more than a month into President Donald Trump’s presidency, there’s been a flurry of announcements about which law schools will be eligible for federal funding to expand their legal education programs.
Some of those are good news, while others could be a drag.
Here are five of the most likely to benefit from the administration’s move to create new funding streams for the 2019-2020 school year.1.
Brooklyn Law School.
Brooklyn Law School (BLS) announced Tuesday that it will receive $6 million in the 2018-2019 school year, which is $1.5 million above its previous annual spending level.
The school received a $1 million boost from the Trump Administration in 2016-2017.2.
Georgetown University Law Center.
On Monday, Georgetown Law School announced that it would receive $2 million in 2019-2019 funding.
Georgetown is one of the nation’s most prominent legal schools, which earned its reputation in the 1980s as a top law school for young lawyers and has remained so for the past 25 years.
The new money will help expand the school’s capacity to provide a wide range of legal services to students and help prepare them for careers in government, education, and nonprofit work.3.
Georgetown Law Center, D.C. Washington University.
Washington University (WUSTL) announced on Monday that it has received $1,500,000 in 2019 funding to continue its commitment to providing legal services in the District of Columbia.
The money comes from the federal Higher Education Opportunity Grant Program (HERP), which allows private colleges and universities to use federal funds for the purchase of classroom supplies, classroom materials, and other services.4.
Georgetown, Texas A&M University.
Texas A&m University (TAMU) announced it would gain $1 Million in 2019 federal funding for its law school, which received a boost in 2016 from the President Donald Trumps administration.5.
George Mason University.
George Mason University (GMU) has received a similar amount in 2019.
The university is one in the nation the top law schools for students who want to study law, and it is the only law school in the country that accepts both the federal and private student population.
This is in addition to the $6.5 Million that GMU already receives each year from the Higher Education Trust Fund.6.
George Washington University (GWU) received $5 million in new federal funding in 2019, as well as $5.5million from the Department of Education’s Higher Education Investment Program (HEIP) for its College of Law program.
The additional funds are designed to support GWU’s programs in high school and college, as it prepares students for careers and careers in the legal profession.7.
Columbia Law School, Washington, D (COL)COL received a large increase in federal funding over the last three years, totaling $9.5M.
The program is the largest program in the U.S. for providing legal education and supports a wide variety of legal education services, including student admission, professional development, employment, and career training.8.
Harvard Law School; Washington, DC; Yale Law School(WLS) The Harvard Law school will receive another $2.2 million from the government this year, as part of a $7.5 billion federal investment in the law school’s program, which supports its programs in undergraduate and graduate programs.
The federal money will provide a boost to the school to expand its offerings to students in high schools and high schools of law.9.
New York University(NYU) New York Law School will receive a $4 million increase in 2019 and a $2-million increase over the previous year.
NYU is one the largest law schools in the world and is one-of-a-kind in that it focuses on the legal professions.
This money will be used to expand and modernize the NYU Law School’s law school program to meet the growing needs of its students.10.
American University Law School
